Project AER - Broken From Another Angle

Project AER’s new song “Broken From Another Angle” from his new album “All Notes Replica” sees the successful lofi hip hop musician veering towards a more alternative rock/indie pop sound a la Bleachers, the band formed by the über pop producer Jack Antonoff. The album itself is a cohesive effort and I did appreciate hearing some singing in a few of the tracks, especially the standout “Broken From Another Angle”. Even though you mainly hear the song title repeated in the chorus, I immediately thought back to “Strange Desire”, the 2014 Bleachers debut album.

Think about the last time you were on a road trip with the windows down and the warm breeze hitting your face. Or, better yet, think of a lazy Sunday afternoon, the last hours of sunlight as the weekend draws to a close. That’s the feeling you will get when you first listen to this song.
