Q&A: This is Goslow
It was a pleasure to recently interview Goslow, a Kazakh musician based in Phuket in the beautiful country of Thailand! We discuss his musical beginnings, his latest single, music success, and what’s next! Be sure to check out the playlist below at the end and continue to support his future work!
Tell me how you got started making music. What drew you to this genre?
I've been doing music since I was a kid. My dad is a jazz musician. At the age of 5, I pressed my first key on the piano, and it was the note F!
I am a "fast" person; I need to calm my brain, so I really love this serene, relaxing music.
You collaborate a lot with VOLKHIN. What does he bring to the table when you two are working on a track?
I work with various session musicians, guitarists, and saxophonists. Each of them brings their own contribution and their own vision to my music.
When I listen to your music the word “cozy” goes to mind. Is that the vibe you want the listener to feel when they listen to your music?
Yes, I want to bring peace and tranquility into your space! When I hear "your music makes me sleepy", for me, this is the highest praise!
Tell me about your latest song “Slowly”.
Calm and relaxing song. This is my first solo track on one of the world's largest labels, Chill Beats Music. This is my family and I am very glad to be part of this wonderful team of professionals!
You have over 150,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. What does that mean to you? Is it just a number or does it give some weight to what you have accomplished so far?
I'm not chasing numbers. Making good music is a top priority for me. But such figures certainly motivate me; to date, the total number of listens on Spotify and Apple Music has reached 16 million!
Up to now, you have only released standalone singles. Are there plans to release an EP or LP in 2024?
Two EP releases are planned for October and December this year! Releases are also planned for 2024! Follow my news, there are many good releases ahead!
